How to Record and Send Telegram Video Messages on iPhone and Android
A Video Message on Telegram is an alternative to sending a voice message to your contact. It will help you express yourself better in your chats. But do note that the duration of a Video Message on Telegram is just 60 seconds. To use this feature on your iPhone or Android phone, ensure that you are using the latest app version.
Step 1: Open Telegram on your iPhone or Android phone.

Step 2: Open the chat with the contact to whom you want to send the video message.
Step 3: Tap the Microphone icon at the bottom-right corner of the chat.

You will notice that the Microphone icon will switch to a Camera icon.
Step 4: Long-press the Camera icon to open the video message recording window.

Step 5: Start recording your video message.

Step 6: Release the camera icon to send your video message.

After you do record a video message, you will notice a circular video icon in the Telegram chat for the video message.
Your contact can tap the circular icon to check your video message. By default, it will be muted in the chat.
Edit Video Messages in Telegram on iPhone and Android
Here’s how to edit your video message before sending it to your Telegram contact. These steps apply to iPhone and Android phones.
Step 1: Open Telegram on your iPhone or Android phone.

Step 2: Open the chat with the contact to whom you want to send the video message.
Step 3: Tap the Microphone icon at the bottom-right corner of the chat.

Step 4: Long-press the Camera icon to open the video message recording window.

Step 5: Drag the recording arrow icon to select the Unlock icon above it.

Next, your video message recording window is locked.
Step 6: Tap the Pause icon at the bottom right side to stop recording the message.

Step 7: Use the editing slider at the bottom to edit the length of your recorded video message.

You can also delete the recorded message by tapping the Delete icon at the bottom-left corner.

Step 8: After you edit your recorded video message, tap the Send icon at the bottom-right corner.

If you long-press the Send icon, you will also get the option to schedule your video message.

How to Record and Send Telegram Video Messages on Mac and Windows PC
Like on your mobile device, you can record and send a video message using the Telegram app on your Mac or Windows PC. Ensure you have updated the app to its latest version on your computer.
Step 1: Open the Telegram app on your Mac or Windows PC.

Step 2: Open the chat with the contact to whom you want to send the video message.
Step 3: Click the Microphone icon at the bottom-right corner of the chat.

Step 4: Long-click the Camera icon to open the video message recording window.

You will notice a circular viewfinder appear on your screen.
Step 5: Release the mouse click to send your video message.

Just like on your mobile, the duration of the video message is limited to 60 seconds on your desktop.
Video Message Not Working on Telegram
If you cannot send the video message to your contact on Telegram, here are some basic troubleshooting methods to solve the issue.
1. Check Camera Permissions
You need to check whether the Telegram app can access the Camera on your iPhone or Android phone.
On Android
Step 1: Long-press the Telegram app icon and select App Info.

Step 2: Tap on Permissions.

Step 3: Select Camera and check if it is allowed to be accessed by the app.


On iPhone
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Scroll down and select Telegram.

Step 3: Tap the toggle next to the Camera option to enable access.

2. Force Quit and Relaunch Telegram
On Android
Step 1: Long-press the Telegram app icon and select App Info.

Step 2: Tap on Force Stop and select Ok to confirm.


Step 3: Close App Info and relaunch Telegram to check if the problem is solved.

On iPhone
Step 1: On the home screen, long-press to reveal the background app windows.
Step 2: Swipe right to look for Telegram and then swipe up to remove it.

Step 3: Open Telegram again to check if the problem is solved.

Send Video Messages on Telegram
A better way to just quickly record your message and send it instead of typing the whole thing. You can also send a video message if Telegram voice messages are not working on your mobile.
