Top 6 Ways to Fix Amazon Echo Stuck on Blue Light

An Amazon Echo speaker or display can be of great help if you wish to add a touch of smartness to your home. You can use it for various purposes like listening to music, getting news updates, and even making calls to other Echo users. Essentially, once you set up an Amazon Echo speaker, you have a virtual assistant always at your disposal. But, like everything digital, Alexa isn’t flawless.

1. Ensure You’re Using the Original Power Adaptor

If you’re using a third-party power cord because the original one that came with the Echo speaker stopped working or was misplaced, you may face problems with the speaker. A third-party adapter may not deliver the required optimal power to speaker since it may have a different power output rating.

So, it’s always advisable to use the original power adapter supplied by the manufacturer.

2. Check if Your Wi-Fi Network Is Functioning Properly

The Amazon Echo speaker relies on a working Wi-Fi connection to function properly. Without a stable internet connection, the speakeer can’t communicate with Amazon’s servers to process your queries. As a result, Alexa may get stuck in an offline state leading to the constant blue ring.

3. Move the Echo Speaker Closer to Your Wi-Fi Router

If you place the Echo speaker too far away from the Wi-Fi router, it may go out of range of your Wi-Fi network and not be able to connect to it. That’s possible when your Wi-Fi router in a certain room, while you place the speaker at the opposite end of the house.

4. Disable the Do Not Disturb Feature From the Alexa App

Amazon lets you enable a Do Not Disturb mode via the Alexa app on your smartphone. When set in the DND mode, the Echo speaker will not respond to queries or give you voice output. Ensure DND is disabled via your smartphone as it may be causing this issue. Here’s how to do it.

6. Factory Reset the Echo Speaker

If none of the abovementioned steps worked, your last resort is to reset the Echo speaker to factory settings and set it up from scratch like a new device.
