Basic Fixes
- Check for downtime: Servers can be down, as many people worldwide rely on Teams. You may verify using downdetector.
- Temporarily use Microsoft Teams Classic: If Team is not loading, try Teams Classic, the original version of the Microsoft Teams app designed for business use.
- Sign out and restart the computer and app: Signing out of Teams and restarting your computer can be a potent solution.
Fix 1: Clear the Teams Cache
While a cache is an easy way to increase Teams’ speed and efficiency, it will affect the service’s core operation if corrupted. You may delete the cache to fix this problem.
Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
Step 2: Right-click on Teams and click End Task.

Step 3: Open File Explorer by pressing Windows + E > navigating to the path below > replacing username with your actual user name:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\MicrosoftTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
Step 4: Delete all the content of the folder and restart Team.

On your Android device, you may follow the steps below to Delete the Team cache.
Step 1: Open Settings > go to the app list or Apps section > click on Teams.


Step 2: Tap on Clear data at the bottom > select Clear all data.


Fix 2: Repair and Reset Microsoft Teams (Windows)
If the Microsoft Teams app is not loading or opening, some valuable files may be corrupted. Your Windows computer’s built-in repair function can fix this.
Step 1: Press the magnifying lens on the Start menu, type Teams, and click on App settings.

Step 2: Click on Repair and restart Teams. If the problem persists, click on Reset.

Fix 3: Reinstall Microsoft Teams
If none of the solutions worked, uninstall and reinstall the app. You may long-tap the icon on a mobile device and select Uninstall or Delete. On your Windows computer, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.
Step 2: Click the Teams app from the app list, click Uninstall, and follow the wizard to complete the process.

Step 3: Navigate to the Teams official page, download a new version, and install it.
