Basic Fixes
- Restart iPhone: Restart your iPhone to fix any temporary bugs and glitches.
- Re-install the parent app: Re-install the app containing the widget to get rid of any corrupted files causing the issue.
- Check network connection: Ensure there’s no problem with the network connectivity on your iPhone and the widget can load data.
Fix 1: Disable the Depth Effect on Wallpaper
The depth effect on the iOS 16 lock screen wallpapers is one of our favorite additions. Unfortunately, you cannot add widgets with the depth effect enabled.
Step 1: Long-press on your lock screen and tap on Customize. Select Lock Screen.
Step 3: Tap on the three dots, at the bottom right corner. If the depth effect is selected, uncheck the option.

Fix 2: Add a new Language
Perhaps the widget is not being recognized at all – especially if it involves another language that is not in your preferred language.
Step 1: Open the Settings app, select General, and go to Language & Region.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Add Language…’ and select the language present in the widget.

If nothing works, you can try to reset all settings on your iPhone.
