Basic Fixes
- Check network connection: You need a stable and strong internet connection between your devices to cast to Android TV.
- Disable VPN: Doing this will not prevent content streaming in your region.
- Update Google TV and Android phone: Updating software will get your devices rid of bugs or glitches causing the issue.
Fix 1: Connect to the Same Wi-Fi Network and Google Account
Both aspects should be considered when casting your device to your Android TV screen. You can check the same in the Settings menu of your Google TV.

Fix 2: Enable Cast on Your Android TV
Did you disable Chromecast on your Google TV? It won’t show up to cast on an Android phone.
Step 1: Go to Google TV Settings > Apps > See all apps.

Step 2: Expand System Apps and select Chromecast built-in.
Step 3: Click Enable from the following menu.

Try casting your Android phone again, and your Google TV should appear.
Fix 3: Reset Your Google TV
This will bring all the system apps and settings to default on your Google TV. Once done, sign in again using your Google account, connect to the same Wi-Fi network, and then try casting your device.
Open Settings > System > Reset.
