If you’re using the Microsoft 365 version of Excel, making a calendar is quick and easy, as the app comes with plenty of pre-built calendar templates for you to choose between.

Step 1. Open Excel and press “File” and then “New.”

Step 2. Scroll down beyond the “Blank workbook” and other top options to find additional templates. The list should include various calendar templates. Find whichever one you’d like to use and click on it. Note that you can also type “calendar” into the search bar at the top of the templates menu to see all the calendar options.

Step 3. Click the “Create” button to open a new workbook with your chosen calendar template.

On Excel for the Web, the process of making a calendar is very similar to making one on the Microsoft 365 version. You just need to find the calendar templates and select whichever one you want to use.

Step 1. Log in to your Microsoft 365 account in your browser of choice. Then select “Workbook” to start a new Excel workbook.
