1. Remove and Reinstall the SIM Card

A recent iOS update might have corrupted your phone’s SIM card system, and that could have resulted in problems with phone’s calling functions or the calls drops. To fix this issue, reinstalling the SIM card can help. Aside from refreshing the SIM card system, it also rules out the possibility of the SIM card being loose, which causes phone calls not received.

This tweak also fixes other network-related glitches on the phone, and hence, this should be considered among the first possible solutions to try on. Before removing the SIM card, turn off the phone completely.

2. Turn On/Off Airplane Mode

iPhone not receiving calls can be due to some glitch on network settings. Normally, the Airplane toggle on your device should fix the issue.

3. Turn off Do Not Disturb

If you have previously blocked any number on iPhone, then they won’t be able to reach on you via call. You need to ensure that the recipient’s phone number is not added on the iPhone block list. Follow the steps below to clear the block list on your iPhone.

iOS offers a handy tool to silence unknown callers on the iPhone. If you have enabled the option on the phone, then the system will automatically silence unknown numbers on the phone. You should disable the option.

6. Disable Do Not Disturb While Driving

Are you facing call issues while driving? You need to disable the option that triggers the DND mode while driving or using CarPlay. Open Settings > Do Not Disturb > Do Not Disturb while driving > select manually. You can also disable Activate With the CarPlay option.

Open the Settings app on the iPhone and navigate to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Enter your passcode for authentication and you are good to go.

8. Reset All Settings

As the name suggests, this option resets all settings on your iPhone. It will erase all your customized settings including automatic overrides from the recent iOS update that caused some conflicts to your iPhone’s cellular functions.
