One of the easiest ways to find birthdays on Snapchat is by using the Chat window. For all the friends who have the Birthday Party feature turned on, a birthday cake emoji will display in front of their display name every year on their set birth date. Their avatar, if set, will also reflect this day of celebration.

Follow the below steps to find someone’s birthday on Snapchat using the Chat window.

Step 1: Open the Snapchat app.

Step 2: Tap on the Chat icon in the menu options.

Step 3: Scroll through the chat window and check if the cake emoji is visible in front of any of your friends’ usernames.

Tip: You can also check your friend’s avatar. If there’s confetti visible in your friend’s avatar, chances are today is their birthday.

Use the Profile Page to Check Upcoming Birthdays on Snapchat

If your friend has set their birthday on Snapchat, you can find the date on your friend’s profile. Additionally, tapping on someone’s birth date also opens a separate birthday window that will display the list of upcoming birthdays on Snapchat as well.

Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open Snapchat and tap on the Chat icon.

Step 2: Here, tap on the friend whose birthday you wish to check.

Step 3: Tap on their username at the top of the chat window.

Step 4: Check their birthday. Or, to check for any upcoming birthdays, tap on your friend’s birth date.

Step 5: Here, use the Upcoming Birthdays section to see the top 3 upcoming birthdays.

Step 6: You can also scroll through the page to see any recently passed or other upcoming birthdays.

Bonus: Add Birthday to Your Snapchat Profile

While you can change your Snapchat display name unlimited times, certain restrictions apply when changing or adding your birthday to Snapchat. For one, you can only change your birthday a limited number of times. So, if you’re unable to find the option to change your current birth date, chances are you’ve already used up all your chances to change it.

Additionally, if you have initially set yourself over 18 years, you cannot change it to make your age under 18 years. And while your birth date will be visible on your profile, Snapchat will not display your age or your birth year.

So, follow the below steps to change or set your own birthday on Snapchat.

Step 1: Open Snapchat and, in the top left corner, tap on your profile icon.

Step 2: Then, tap on the cogwheel icon.

Step 3: Here, tap on Birthday.

Step 4: First, check the Birthday Party option. This will make sure your friends can see the cake emoji in front of your name in their respective chat windows on your birthday.

Step 5: Then, tap on your birthday. If you’re adding your birthday for the first time, tap on the empty space.

Step 6: Now, use the day, month, and year sliders to scroll through the dates.
