Audible is one of the popular audiobooks platforms. For such a popular app, Audible's interface is surprisingly confusing and basic. When I installed and launched it to check out the service, I found it lacking a few important features, especially for iOS users. That's why so many users, just like me, can't find or view wishlists on the Audible app.
Wishlist is a cool feature that you will also find on Amazon's eCommerce site. It's a useful feature that can help you create a buffer of books that you may want to read in the future. Let's understand where Audible wishlists are located, how they function, and what else you can or can't do with them.
Where Is My Audible Wishlist
Android users need to open the Audible app and tap on the three-dot menu icon on the left to select the Store button.
That will reveal further options, and Wish List is one of them. Tap on it to view the wishlist.
Audible Wishlists are not available on iOS, and there are no dedicated desktop apps. Numerous users have complained about it but still no luck. Maybe in a future update. I don't like the iOS app at all. I signed in using the same Amazon ID as on Android, and for some reason, Audible is treating it as a brand new ID, asking me to subscribe. I am not subscribing twice.
One workaround is to use a browser to sign in and find the book that you want to listen to. Not the best solution but still works.
Talking about browsers, you can easily access the Wish List right at the top in the header area. Easy to find and accessible.

How Many Wishlists Can You Create
You can't create more than one wishlist on Audible. All you have to do to create a wishlist is to add a book, any book, to the wishlist (more on that in the next section). Amazon allows users to create multiple wishlists on its eCommerce platform but not on Audible. That's odd. Most users don't need two lists to manage audiobooks unless you share your Audible account with someone. In that case, it becomes necessary. Amazon needs to pay attention to this feature, eh?
How to Add Titles to Wishlist
Adding titles to wishlists work the same way on both web and mobile apps. Let's take the browser first. Tap on the title to open and select the Add to Wish List button. You will find it right below the buying options.
You will see a blue button that says In Wish List if the book is already added to the list. Selecting that will not remove the title from the list as I expected. Instead, it took me to the Wish List menu. Again, a strange UI choice.
The same steps will apply to Android and iOS apps. Open the book title and tap on Add to Wish Button and you are done. Interesting that there is an option to add to wishlist in iOS but no way to access the list later.
How to Remove Titles from Wishlist
Open the wishlist on your Android to find a list of all the titles that you have added.
Tap the three-dot menu icon next to the book you want to remove to reveal a pop-up menu bar with the Remove button. Tap on it to remove the book.
The Remove from Wish List button is easily visible in the case of the browser. It's right next to the book.

How to Share Audible Wishlist
Unfortunately, that is not possible at this moment. You cannot share an Audible wishlist. There is no way to share even a book that I like with someone directly other than messaging him/her the name. He/she will then have to search for the book manually. It would have been a lot easier if I could recommend a book or maybe just share a link to the same from the app itself. That's on my wishlist, not Amazon's. Also, you can't link your Audible account to Goodreads to share updates about your listening activities and review as well as recommend books to friends.
How to Sort Audible Wishlist
Any book you add to the wishlist is added by date. So, the book that was added last will appear at the top of the list. You can view the date the book was added right before the Price column in the browser.
Click on the Date Added text button to sort books added first or last. There is no other way to sort them like ratings, date of release, or any other way.
The mobile apps do not even have that option, which simply means you can't sort books in iOS or Android app.
Your Wish Is My Command
Audible's wishlist feature is a mess. It works best in Android while iOS version leaves a lot to be desired. Even the Android version could do with some improvements like the ability to share, create multiple lists, and so on. But there is little we can do except request Amazon and Audible to improve this feature and wait. Until then, make do with what you have or use an alternative like Scribd.
