When it comes to the built-in webcam, computer monitors and laptops are poles apart. Unlike laptops that come with built-in webcams, most monitors generally do not have added features like speakers or webcams. But with the rise of video conferencing needs, there are a couple of monitors out there with built-in webcams. These cameras are either built-in the frame, or pop-up when triggered. Either way, you can easily join a Zoom call or a Google Meet meeting, without scrambling to find your external webcam.
However, the market for monitors with webcams is still niche, and there aren’t as many options as their conventional counterparts. We have compiled a list of the top monitors with built-in webcams that you can check out.

1. ASUS BE24EQK Business Monitor

If you are looking for a basic monitor with a built-in webcam, then the ASUS BE24EQK fits the bill to the T. It doesn’t have any fancy features like Adaptive-Sync or a slew of connectivity options, but it gets the job done. For the record, the 24-inch screen is big enough to let you go about your daily work with ease. Plus, the built-in 1080p camera is not bad either.
The only catch is that you will have to connect the webcam via the dedicated USB-B to USB-A cable. That said, the camera is pretty flexible and lets you rotate it around 300-degree. The camera quality is decent for the price, though the images tend to be a tad grainy. There are no autofocus options, but for the occasional zoom meeting, it does a pretty decent job.
The ASUS BE24EQK’s image quality is good for the price. But at the end of the day, it is not designed for color-sensitive work. It gets the picture on the screen, and that’s about it. For the record, it can display 87.4% of the sRGB color spectrum.
The connectivity options are again, satisfactory. You get the options for both DisplayPort and HDMI connectors, and there’s a legacy VGA connector as well. Unlike premium and mid-range monitors, it lacks USB-A and USB-C ports. On the upside, there’s support for the VESA mount as well, should you want to mount it in a monitor mount.
The ASUS BE24EQK has enjoyed a good number of positive ratings on Amazon, with people loving it for its lightweight nature, decent picture quality, and price-to-value proposition.
If you want a barebones monitor with a webcam for the occasional video conference (and want to save on money), then the BE24EQK is a good pick.
2. Acer CB272 Dbmiprcx ErgoStand Monitor

At 27-inches, the Acer CB272 Dbmiprcx monitor is wider than the ASUS monitor above. This one is designed for gamers and brings additional perks like AMD FreeSync Technology and a 75Hz refresh rate. The former means that if you have a compatible AMD graphics card, you will reap the advantages of a dynamic refresh rate during your games.
That said, this Acer monitor has a cool design with a bezel-less display. So, the frameless design will lend a uniform design even if you want to add a secondary display to the rig.
It bundles a 1080p webcam and lets you stream games or attend video calls with ease. Plus, it also facilitates Windows Hello. The camera is adjustable to some extent. However, the built-in speakers are a tad weak.
The picture quality is satisfactory for the price of the monitor. The images appear clear and crisp.
However, when it comes to connectivity options, the Acer CB272 lacks DisplayPort and USB ports. That means if you have quite a few peripherals like a keyboard or mouse to connect, the best option would be to get a USB hub to connect to the GPU.
On the positive side, the monitor has fairly good ergonomics. For example, you can rotate it to the portrait mode and adjust its height (unlike the one above). Plus, it supports VESA mounting.
3. HP EliteDisplay E243d Monitor

The HP EliteDisplay E243d monitor costs a little more than its counterpart above, bringing in an interesting set of features. HP markets it as a docking monitor, and rightly so. It packs a USB-C port (among others) which you use to connect to your laptop directly, thereby saving you the hassle of buying a dedicated dock. The E243d supports Power Delivery up to 65W, displays 90% of the sRGB color spectrum, and has a 720p built-in webcam.
The best part is that the webcam is a pop-up camera, thereby making it a little safer from a privacy point of view. It has a button on top, which you need to press for the camera to be activated. As we noted above, it’s a simple 720p camera and gets the work done. However, as per the folks at Expert Reviews, it tends to oversaturate the colors. On the upside, the mics do a good job of capturing noise-less audio.
There are ample ports in this one, including a handy Ethernet port. In addition, the combination of HDMI and DisplayPort gives you the needed wriggle room to connect it to your PC. Plus, the USB ports ensure easy connectivity. But, it comes at a price, and that’s cable management.
That said, the E243d bundles a strong base and a sharp look. And yes, if you do not want to spend a ton, this monitor is great for regular office work.
4. Dell P2418HZ LED Display

The Dell P2418HZ is a mid-range monitor with a dedicated webcam. This one is designed for everyday use and integrates a bright panel. It bundles a clever design, wherein the camera is integrated at the top of the frame. Moreover, it comes with a privacy shutter. At 24-inches, it’s not one of the widest monitors out there, but the odds are that you will be able to get your work done. However, if you often switch between multiple open windows, this monitor might be a little limiting.
The camera supports both Skype and Windows Hello and delivers good image quality for the price. At the same time, the mic transmits your voice well. The good thing is that the panel is bright enough for everyday work.
Owing to the camera at the top, the Dell P2418HZ has slight bezels at the top and bottom. Plus, it has an ergonomic design, and you can tweak the height as per your preference.
Connectivity options are a tad limited, but you do get the option of both HDMI and DisplayPort. Moreover, the array of USB 3.0 is a plus.
5. Dell C3422WE Video Conferencing Monitor

If you are looking for a dedicated monitor for video conferencing, the Dell C3422WE is the one for you. However, it’s a premium monitor and costs above $1000. The premium pricing also means you get a good set of features on your hands. For example, one of the USB-C ports can charge a connected laptop at 90W, while another one lets you charge smartphones and other peripherals at 15W. Above all, it sports a WQHD display, and the 34-inch panel is wide enough to let you open 2-3 windows parallelly.
Naturally, the display is sharp and the colors are crisp and accurate. For the record, it can display 87% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. So while it may not be good for professional color-critical work, it’s apt for business work.
One of the main highlights of this monitor is the controls. The Dell C3422WE bundles a set of touch-sensitive buttons at the front to launch Microsoft Teams or play with the volume and the playback. Last but not least, the Dell C3422WE is ergonomic and has a solid stand.
But at the end of the day, if you do not mind spending cash on a monitor and want a series of good connectivity options, then the Dell C3422WE is a good pick.

Integrated webcams on monitors surely save you from the hassle of buying or attaching a dedicated webcam. However, while these webcams deliver decent picture quality, they may not be as sharp as dedicated webcams like the Logitech Brio.
However, if you do not mind the quality, the HP EliteDisplay E243d monitor is a good one to pick.
