Customization is the essence of an Android phone. You can change the launcher and you can also apply themes. That will change and add up to the overall look of your phone, when the screen is switched on. Earlier, you had to use third-party apps to change the theme. Now, the same feature is provided on many phone makers such as Samsung, Xiaomi, etc. Let’s see how to use these Samsung themes to jazz up your phone.
In Samsung, you get a separate app known as Samsung Themes Store for all your customization needs. It contains themes, wallpapers, and icon packs. While it is easy to use, it has certain hidden features that you may not be aware of.
What are those? Let’s find in this post where we cover tips and tricks related to Samsung Themes.
1. Add to Wishlist
Sometimes, we like a certain theme or icon pack, but it’s costly might be holding you back. Since the price keeps changing, you can add it to your wish list to easily keep track of it. That would save you the trouble of searching for the required item.
To add a theme, wallpaper, or icon pack to your wish list, open it in the Galaxy Theme Store. Then, tap on the wish list icon present at the top-right corner.
2. Restore Original Theme
Downloading a theme or an icon pack is easy. All you need to do is press the Download button. But what if you don’t like the current theme or an icon pack and want to restore the original theme or icon pack? For that, you don’t need to delete the downloaded item. You can simply remove the current theme and restore the original one.
For that, open the Galaxy Theme store app and tap on the three-bar icon at the top-left corner. Select My Stuff from the menu.
Here, you will find your themes, wallpapers, and icon packs. Tap on Default to remove the custom theme and restore original.

3. Delete Multiple Items
If you want to delete the theme, wallpaper, or an icon pack completely, go to the My Stuff screen. Then, open the required item and hit the Delete button.
To delete multiple items, go to the My Stuff screen. Tap on the tab whose items you want to delete. Tap on the three-dot icon at the top and select Delete. Then, choose the items that you want to remove.
4. Use Powerful Search
The Galaxy Themes store is a storage house of many themes, wallpapers, and icon packs. At times, it becomes difficult to find the right thing. Fortunately, you can search for an item of your choice in this app.
If you look closely at the Themes app, you will notice a search icon at the top-right corner. Tap on it, and an advanced search screen greets you. You can search by color, category, etc.
5. Access Theme Store Quickly
By default, you have to long-tap on the home screen and hit the Themes option. If you don’t like that way of opening the Samsung Themes store, you can create its icon and add it to the home screen and the app drawer.
To do so, open the Galaxy Themes app. Then, tap on the three-bar icon at the top. You will see the settings icon. Tap on it.
Enable the toggle next to the Add Galaxy Themes icon. Once you do that, a new icon for the Galaxy Themes app will be added to your phone.
6. Share Item
If your friends like your current theme or icon pack, you can easily share it with them using the native share feature. For that, open the Galaxy Themes store and go to the item that you want to share from My Stuff. Tap on the share icon at the top. Choose the required app from which you want to share it. Of course, your friends need to have Samsung Themes Store to check it out.

7. Transfer to New Phone
If you switch to a new Samsung phone, your purchased items in the Themes Store can easily be transferred to the new phone. Fortunately, that doesn’t involve any manual labor. All you need to do is sign in to your Samsung account on the new phone. Then, launch the Themes app and tap on the three-bar icon at the top. Select Purchased items. You will find your downloaded items here.
8. Create a Custom Theme
While the Themes Store offers many themes, you can even create a custom one. Instead of applying a theme, you should change the wallpaper and add a similar icon pack. Of course, it will not apply to the entire phone, but something is better than nothing.
This trick isn’t limited to Samsung Themes only. You can use it on any phone. When you use the Theme stores to set a wallpaper, such wallpapers do not appear in your gallery. You can use a third-party app that goes by the name Get current wallpaper to view and save the wallpaper.
Once you install the app, launch it, and grant the storage permission. Then, tap on Retrieve wallpaper to get the wallpaper from the home screen or use Retrieve Lock Screen to get from the lock screen. Your wallpaper will be saved in your gallery.
