Schedule Messages in Slack on iPhone and Android

The official Slack app for iPhone and Android lets you to stay updated with all the activities happening amongst your co-workers. You will also be notified about any activity in your Slack Channels. Here’s how you can schedule a message in Slack on your iPhone or Android. The steps are same for iPhone and Android.

Step 1: Open Slack on your iPhone or Android.

Step 2: Select the contact or channel for whom you want to schedule your message.

Step 3: After typing your message, long-press the Send icon.

You can schedule your message by selecting the suggested timings. You can also tap on Custom Time.

Step 4: Tap on Schedule Message to confirm after selecting your preferred time.

Edit or Remove Scheduled Messages in Slack on iPhone and Android

Here’s how you can manage your scheduled messages in Slack on iPhone and Android. The steps are the same for iPhone and Android.

Step 1: Open Slack on your iPhone or Android.

Step 2: Tap on Drafts and Sent.

Step 3: Select the Scheduled tab.

Step 4: Long-press on your scheduled message to reveal options.

You can choose between Edit Message, Reschedule Message, or Delete Message.

Schedule Recurring Messages in Slack on Mobile

You can schedule recurring messages in Slack either to yourself or to your Slack channels. You just need to use the /remind command. Here’s how.

Step 1: Open Slack on your iPhone or Android.

Step 2: Select the channel or your own chat.

Step 3: Type /remind and select the Remind command from the suggestions.

Step 4: To schedule a recurring message to yourself, type /remind me to “your task” at (time) and tap the Send icon.

To schedule a recurring message for a Slack Channel, type /remind “channel name” [what] [when] and tap the Send icon.

Schedule Messages in Slack on Your Desktop

You can also directly schedule your messages while using Slack on your computer via the web and the Mac or Windows app. The steps remain the same for all three platforms.

Step 1: Open Slack on your Mac, Windows, or on the web.

Step 2: Select the contact or channel for whom you want to schedule your message.

Step 3: After typing your message, click the arrow icon next to the Send button at the bottom-right corner.

You can schedule your message by selecting the suggested timings. You can also tap on Custom Time.

Edit or Remove Scheduled Messages in Slack on Your Desktop

Step 1: Open Slack on your Mac, Windows, or on the web.

Step 2: Click on Drafts and Sent from the left menu.

Step 3: Select the Scheduled tab.

Step 4: Hover your mouse pointer to reveal options to edit your scheduled message, change scheduled timings, or send it immediately.

To delete the scheduled Slack message, click the three dots on the right side and select Delete Message.

Step 1: Open Slack on your Mac, Windows, or on the web.

Step 2: Select the channel or your own chat.

Step 3: Type /remind and select the Remind command from the suggestions.

Step 4: To schedule a recurring message to yourself, type /remind me to “your task” at (time) and Click the Send icon.

To schedule a recurring message for a Slack Channel, type /remind “channel name” [what] [when] and click the Send icon.
