The watch uses its Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis or BIA sensor to send short impulses through your body to get a reading. It takes just a few seconds if you follow all the steps correctly. Here’s how to do it.

Samsung recommends that users with pacemakers, defibrillators, or any similar electronic device implanted within their body should refrain from measuring their body composition on the Galaxy Watch 4. Pregnant women are advised not to use this feature either.

Step 1: Wear the Galaxy Watch 4 slightly behind the front of your wrist. Ensure it’s tight enough to be in place but not too tight else it’ll cause discomfort. Check the animated instruction on the watch to get a visual idea.

  • If you have metallic objects on your body like rings, earrings, bracelets, etc., it’s best to remove them take any measurements.
