On Desktop

Step 1: Open LinkedIn in your preferred browser on your Windows or Mac computer.

Go to LinkedIn

Step 2: Go to the search bar, type the username, and select the user from the drop-down.

Step 3: Navigate to the ‘View full profile’ button. You will be taken to the user’s LinkedIn account. 

Step 4: Click on the Contact info at the top of the profile page.

Step 5: From the pop-up modal, under the Birthday section, you will see the user’s birthday information.

That’s it. If you didn’t find the date of birth, it might be because the user has decided to keep it private or only allowed certain people to see it.

On Mobile

The steps to view someone’s birthday on LinkedIn are the same on Android and iOS. For the sake of demonstrating, we are going with Android. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Launch the LinkedIn app and tap on the search bar at the top.

Step 2: Type the username you want to know the birthday details of and select the user from the drop-down.

Step 3: On the next screen, tap on ‘View full profile.’ You will be taken to the user profile. 

Step 4: Under the user profile, next to the message or follow button, tap on the three-dot icon, and from the bottom sheet, select Contact info.

There you go. Under the Birthday section, you will find the user’s birth date. You can tap on the birthday to copy it to share with someone else.

Step 6: Under ‘Choose where you get notified,’ turn on your preferred notifications.

On Mobile

Here’s how to find out someone’s birthday with LinkedIn notifications on Android and iOS. For demonstration purposes, we’ll use Android.

Step 1: Launch the LinkedIn app. Once launched, tap on your profile picture in the top left corner to open a sidebar.

Step 2: From the sidebar, select Settings. Under Settings, select Notifications. 

Step 3: Now, choose ‘Connecting with others,’ and on the next screen, tap on ‘Birthdays and job anniversaries.’

Step 4: Under ‘Birthdays and job anniversaries,’ toggle on your preferred way of getting notified.

That’s about it. You will be notified about the birthdays and work anniversaries of the people you are connected with on LinkedIn. This is provided they have added their birthdays.

On Desktop

Step 1: Open LinkedIn in your preferred browser and click on your profile picture (Me) from home.

Go to LinkedIn

Step 3: From the bottom sheet, select Contact info. Under the Contact section, tap on the edit (pen) icon.

Step 4: In the ‘Edit contact info,’ tap on the birthday field. From the data selection modal, select the month and date of your birthday and tap on Set.

Step 5: Select the button below to change privacy settings and choose from the bottom sheet.

Note: To hide your birthday on LinkedIn, select Only you.
