It can get frustrating after some time when you cannot find it and don’t wish to use your iPhone as a remote, either. But you can use your iPhone to find your lost Siri Remote. How to Find Your Lost Siri Remote Using Your iPhone
With the latest software upgrades, Apple has added the ability to find your Siri Remote on your iPhone. This is similar to the Find My functionality on your other Apple devices. Before the launch of Apple TV 4K, Apple was rumored to introduce Find My for the Siri Remote as well.
With the launch of tvOS 17 and iOS 17, you can finally use this feature whenever you cannot find your Siri Remote. Here are a couple of things you need to remember before using this feature.
- This feature is limited to the Apple TV 4K 2nd and 3rd generation models.
- You need to have iOS 17 installed on your iPhone and tvOS 17 installed on your Apple TV 4K model.
- Your iPhone and Apple TV 4K needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Your iPhone and Apple TV 4K needs to be signed in to the same Apple account.
After you have taken care of the above points, here’s how to use the feature.
Step 1: Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone to launch Control Centre. Then tap the Remote app icon.

Step 2: Connect the Remote app with your Apple TV 4K.
Step 3: Once done, tap the arrow icon next to the name of your Apple TV 4K at the top.

Step 4: Tap on Find on the top-right corner.

You will now see an interface like Find My that will guide you towards your Siri Remote. You will see whether the Siri Remote is far or near you. And as per its proximity, the circular animation will change its color to blue.



After you find your Siri remote, tap the X icon at the bottom-right corner to close the navigation interface.

Can’t See Remote App in Control Centre
In case you don’t see the Remote app icon in the Control Centre, here are some basic troubleshooting methods to enable the same.
1. Check Control Centre Settings
You can check whether the Remote app shortcut has been enabled for access from the Control Centre. Here’s how.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone and select Control Centre.


Step 2: Scroll down and tap the Plus icon next to Apple TV Remote shortcut.

Step 3: Close Settings and open Control Centre to check if the problem is solved.
2. Restart Your iPhone
Sometimes you need is a simple restart of your iPhone to fix even the major in-app or software issues.
For iPhone SE (2nd generation and later): Long-press the side button.
For iPhone 11 and above: Long-press the power and volume buttons simultaneously.

The steps remain the same for iPhone X users as well. But iOS 17 is not supported for iPhone X.
3. Update iOS Version
It is always recommended to use the latest version of iOS on your iPhone model to avoid any software glitches.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap on General.


Step 2: Tap on Software Update and install it if one is available.

Step 3: Once the installation is complete, open the Control Centre and check if the problem is solved.
