How to Add Locations for Calendar Events on iPhone
Just like creating an event, you can set a location for an event in the Calendar app on your iPhone. Ensure that you are using the latest version of iOS as per your iPhone model.
Step 1: Open the Calendar app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Select the date of your event and tap the Plus icon at the top-right corner.

Step 3: Add the name of your event and then tap on Location.


Step 4: Type and select the precise location of your event destination.

Step 5: Enter the duration of the event and tap on Add at the top-right corner to confirm.

After you tap on your event, you will see the location in Apple Maps to reach there.

You can always edit your event location by tapping on Edit at the top-right corner.

How to Add Locations for Calendar Events on iPad
When you rely on your iPad for navigating to event locations using Apple Maps, here’s how can add an address to your Apple Calendar events.
Step 1: Open the Calendar app on your iPad.

Step 2: Select the date of your event and tap the Plus icon at the top-right corner.

Step 3: Add the name of your event and then tap on Location. Type in the location that you want to add in the search bar and pick the one from the suggested Map locations.

Step 4: Adjust the duration of the event and tap on Add at the top-right corner to confirm.

You can also add multiple stops in Apple Maps if you have to pick someone or something before reaching your event destination.
Add Travel Time Alerts For Events in Calendar App on iPhone and iPad
After you add your event location, you also get the option to add a Travel Time Alert in the Calendar app. This will notify you when it is time to leave for the event depending on the best route available to reach your destination on time. Here’s how to add it using the Calendar app on your iPhone and iPad.
Step 1: Open the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2: Tap on the event whose location you have added. Then tap on Edit at the top-right corner.

Step 3: Select Travel Time and enable the option by tapping the toggle.


Step 4: Select Starting Location and enter the name of your starting location.


You will now see how much time it will take you to reach your event destination.
Step 5: Tap on Edit Event at the top-left corner, scroll down, and select Alert.


Step 6: Set the time to be notified for leaving for the event.

Step 7: Tap on Done at the top-right corner to confirm.

How to Add Locations for Calendar Events on Mac
You can also add your event location using the Calendar app on your Mac in case your iPhone or iPad is nearby. Here’s how.
Step 1: Press Command + Spacebar keyboard shortcut to open Spotlight Search, type Calendar, and press Return.

Step 2: Select the event date and click the Plus icon at the top-left corner.

Step 3: Enter the event title and select the suggested option.

Step 4: After the event is created, enter the exact location of your event.
