The soaring popularity of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to grow, known to many as PUBG. This battle royale game has sold over fifty million copies and has seen more than one hundred million downloads at the Play Store alone. If we add the numbers across all platforms, PUBG has more than 400 million players. Phew, those are some huge numbers.
PUBG has redefined the language of play and also brought a whole new aspect to multiplayer games, especially on Android. And this year, the game is expected to bring in even higher numbers and is expected to get better with time (check out the Level 3 Helmet keychain on Amazon).
Just a few days ago, the developers released a bunch of new wallpapers to welcome the new year. So this gave us an idea. How about we list the best of these wallpapers. So, here we are, with the top PUBG wallpapers in HD for both PC and phone.
1. The Red Sunset
Did you know that the mobile gameplay is a little different from the Xbox One (or PC) version? The mobile version lets you see the flight path and the drop location, something you can’t do in PC. Also, the mobile version weighs just 77MB while the PC version rakes up to 15GB in space.
2. Calling … Calling
The deep rich crimson smoke stands out in sharp contrast against a pale blue sky and a yellow field. If you like your wallpapers in contrasting shades, this one is your perfect shot.
3. And it Starts!
PUBG is so insanely addictive that a few months ago, a teenager in Bangaluru was treated for PUBG addiction. Game addiction is real, and it’s high time we all played (or browsed social media) a little more responsibly.
With games becoming more gripping, now it’s more difficult than ever to put down the phone and focus on the business at hand. If you have been in a similar situation, do check out these Android apps to fight addiction.
4. Look Back
Perhaps the best thing about PUBG Mobile is that it can be played on Android devices with mid-range hardware. When it comes to premium phones, the game can run on a whopping 60fps (frames per second). Now that’s really cool, I’d say!
5. Gear Up
The choice of clothing for the character also plays a major role in its survival. After all, a ghillie suit offers you better chances of camouflage (and survival) than being in a flaming red suit.
Do you like digitally recreated images? If yes, you are in luck, for this image in yellow and orange will surely enhance your PC’s looks.
Did you know that orange is known to evoke enthusiasm and excitement?
7. The Big Bug
Were you aware that the buggy in PUBG is a rear-wheel-drive? It’s game over if the rear wheel is blown away (unless you are as fast as The Flash).
Parachuting is now almost a PUBG signature. The PS4 variant will let gamers enter with PlayStation-themed parachute. Now, that’s cool!
9. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
Though the term ‘Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’ is now synonymous with PUBG, it has been in use since the days of ARMA 2 DayZ Battle Royale, another survival game.
10. Something in Grey
A steel grey background and a man reading to fire — that means business. Nothing captures the essence of this adrenaline pumping game as this image. If you love mobile backgrounds in darker colors, hit the link below.
What’s the best thing about these wheat fields? You can’t be easily tracked. A new map named Vikendi will feature snow (winter is coming, my friend). This means if you’re not too careful, you’ll be leading the enemy straight to you.
12. Winter Has Arrived
This image is one of the official wallpapers that PUBG Mobile has released on Twitter. Use the link below to be redirected to their Twitter profile. To download, tap the three-dot icon and hit Save. As easy as that.
13. And It Was Called Yellow
Do you love yellow? If yes, let the Christmas mood stay a bit longer with this holiday-themed wallpaper. It’s one of the newest HD mobile wallpaper released by PUBG. Since it’s an official wallpaper, it has its usual share of logos and names at the bottom, something which you can crop off easily.
Claim the Chicken Dinner
The thumb rule of this game is simple — survive and take the chicken dinner home. What type of a player are you? Do you dive in straight for some action and trust lady luck to be on your side? Or are you the calculative strategist who first scans the area, studies the enemy, and aims for the final shot?
