OLED TVs bring several advantages to the table. These TVs offer darker blacks and high contrast ratios with a detailed and sharper picture quality. If you pick with HDR10 or HDR10+ media profiles, you can enjoy content in richer dynamic range.
However, OLED TVs with HDR10+ are not as common as their QLED counterparts, even though OLED is considered a better display tech compared to QLED.
Here are the best OLED TVs with HDR10+. But before that,
1. Philips 48OLED806
- Size: 48-inch | Resolution: 4K
- Ports: 4 x HDMI 2.1, 3 x USB, 1 x Optical out, 1 x Audio out
- Refresh rate: 60Hz | HDR formats: HDR10+, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG
This OLED TV doesn’t tie down your hands when it comes to HDR standards and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The HDR10+ Adaptive tech tunes the brightness of the TV as per the ambient lighting conditions. Naturally, it results in better picture quality.
Apart from the standard audio out port, there’s a duo of next-gen HDMI 2.1 ports and three USB ports. The HDMI 2.1 port lets you connect to gaming consoles like the Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X. That said, the TV can only support up to a 60Hz refresh rate.
This Philips OLED TV delivers impressive motion processing, making watching movies on Blu-ray discs or streaming content more enjoyable.
The only limitation of this TV is the sound system. The speakers fail to deliver an immersive experience. And if you do plan to get this TV, it would be best to buy a soundbar to go with it.
2. Sony A90J OLED
- Size: 65-inch | Resolution: 4K
- Ports: 4 x HDMI inputs, 3 x USB ports
- Refresh rate: 120Hz | HDR formats: HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG
The Sony A90J OLED brings a lot to the table, even though it just supports HDR10. You should pick this TV if you want one of the best performances irrespective of the price. Not only does it excels in audio and video delivery, but it’s also a gaming-centric TV.
It supports 4K at 120Hz refresh rate out of the box. Plus, the HDMI 2.1 connectivity options mean you can connect to your Sony PlayStation to the TV. And it doesn’t end there. This Sony TV delivers a strong gaming performance with solid details and smooth transitions.
However, the feature that sets it apart from the rest is the Acoustic Surface Audio tech. This tech transforms the screen into a huge speaker.
The A90J is a versatile TV and can handle a glorious slow-motion scene or a fast-paced game. The motion handling has received its share of praises from authoritative reviewers and users.
It comes with a couple of USB ports and four HDMI ports out of which two are HDMI 2.1. However, it lacks HDR10+ support.
3. LG G1 Gallery Series (OLED65G1)
- Screen size: 55-inch, 65-inch, 77-inch | Resolution: 4K
- Ports: 4 x HDMI 2.1, 3 x USB, 1 x RF input, 1 x Ethernet, 1 x Audio out
- Refresh rate: 120Hz | HDR formats: HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG
If you do not want to compromise on the display quality and the HDR performance, you can’t go wrong with the LG G1 Gallery series. It packs a slim and sleek look, and the minimal bezels on the sides lend a gorgeous look to the TV.
The highlight of this TV is the in-house Evo panel. And together with the OLED technology, you get a superb HDR performance. For the records, the LG OLED65G1 supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR.
As noted earlier, the highlight of this LG TV is its Evo panel. This feature boosts the screen’s brightness without any adverse side effects like screen burning. At the same time, it enhances the colors to make them more punchy and vivid.
The good thing is that you reap the advantages of the Evo panel in both regular usage and gaming. Yes, this LG TV supports gaming features as well. For one, the refresh rate can go up to 120Hz in 4K. Secondly, it supports VRR and has a dedicated Game Optimizer mode.
The connectivity options are quite satisfactory. It packs four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB ports. All the HDMI ports support VRR and 120Hz refresh rate even in 4K.
However, the LG OLED65G1 is not perfect. Even though it packs Dolby Atmos, the audio is not immersive and feels a little restrained, as per the folks at Tech Radar. At the same time, the webOS interface may seem a bit different for first-time LG TV users.
4. Vizio OLED55-H1
- Size: 55-inch | Resolution: 4K
- Ports: 4 x HDMI, 1 x USB
- Refresh rate: 120Hz | HDR formats: HDR10+, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG
The Vizio OLED55-H1 is an affordable alternative compared to the ones above, and surprisingly, packs several interesting features. You get the advantage of HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. For the price, you get great picture quality with respectable color saturation. These qualities make it apt for watching movies and films. Finally, it boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for playing games over consoles.
It packs a slim and bezel-less display and looks gorgeous.
As noted earlier, you get an impressive picture quality. The OLED panel displays richer blacks, and 4K HDR content looks impressive with finer details. However, when the TV is placed in a well-lit room, you may miss some of the finer details in the picture due to low brightness. Thankfully, the issues get automatically removed in dark environments.
The real hero of this affordable OLED TV is the audio. The 30 Watt speakers on the OLED55-H1 deliver above-average audio with a touch of bass. Of course, you won’t get deep thumping bass, but it is enough to act as the perfect companion for action movies.
It also packs four HDMI ports and a single USB port. The latter can be limiting in some situations. On the upside, two HDMI ports support 4K/120Hz. Do note that the remote lacks voice search.
If you are looking for an OLED TV that delivers excellent picture quality without burning a hole in your pocket, the Vizio OLED55-H1 checks all the right boxes.
Hello, Immersive Displays
If you are in the United States, the options for OLED TVs with HDR10+ are a rarity. In this case, you’ll either have to revert to TVs with HDR10 or Dolby Vision.
