Whether it’s the 90Hz display or the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the OnePlus 7 Pro surely packs a punch. The Warp Charge doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the charging speed. However, when it comes to the rest of the accessories box, the OnePlus 7 Pro leaves you aching for a good Bluetooth Wireless Earphones. Also, if you buy the phone during a special sale, then you can get a pair free with it.
So, if you want to listen to your favorite music on a headphone or earphone, you’ll have to look somewhere else.
Like the good old days, phones today rarely pack headphones or earphones, and the OnePlus 7 Pro is one of them. With the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.0, it makes sense to invest in a premium pair of earphones to experience immersive audio.
We have compiled the best Bluetooth wireless earphones for the OnePlus 7 Pro. Let’s take a look.
1. OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2
If we are talking about a premium OnePlus phone, it would be a shame if we ignore the in-house Bullets Wireless 2. The Bullets Wireless 2 comes with the neckband design and packs several cool features. For one, you get a good battery life, a fast-charging technique, and a durable body. And the inclusion of aptX HD Bluetooth codec is the cherry on top.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 offers a battery life of 14 hours on moderate volumes, which is great. If you use them sparingly, they can easily last you around 3-4 days. And to add to it, you get the advantage of Warp Charge 30 power adapter which takes about 20 minutes for a full charge. Just 10-minute charging buys you about 10 hours of playback time. That’s awesome.
Connection and re-pairing are instantaneous. Since these are in-house products, you can also play around with the audio settings. We have been using these earphones for a while now and can safely say that the sound quality is up to the mark. The bass is rich and you can rest aside worries of outside noise distracting you with a proper fit.
The buds are paired with wings which helps them to stay anchored to your outer ear. Overall, it’s a good product to invest in, as long as you do not mid the neckband design.
My only gripe is that the magnetic tips are a tad weak.
2. 1More Stylish True Wireless In-Ear Headphones
If you’re looking for an unusual pair of earphones, the 1More Stylish makes for a good buy. These true wireless earphones skip the usual ear-wings design and instead, they sport an unusual set of O-Hooks. And with their sleek body, the 1More Stylish looks every bit modern. Needless to say, they deliver great audio.
The 1More Stylish packs Bluetooth 5.0 and promises solid connectivity. The audio output is clear and the bass heads will be happy as these the output falls on the bass-heavy spectrum.
The battery life is great for the price with the Stylish promising you a battery life of around 6.5 hours on a single charge. Unlike the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2, these buds can be recharged even when you pop them in the charging case.
On the other hand, the charging case is powered by a 410mAh battery that yields a battery life of around 17 hours.
However, this 1More pair does fall short in a few departments. For one, they do not have any IP rating, which makes them incapable of using in the gym or for jogs. Secondly, there have been a few reports of the earbuds’ connection faltering, so you have to watch out for that.
3. Bose Soundsport Free
Yep, the Bose Soundsport Free earphones are a tad old, but let me tell you that these gym-friendly earphones still pack a punch. The IPX4-rating makes them sweat and weather-resistant. And the StayHear+ Sport tips make sure that these earphones stay anchored to your ear even when you do strenuous exercises.
Bose is known for delivering better sound quality, and the SoundSport Free earphones are no different. This audio quality is clear and is accompanied by a pronounced bass.
All the controls rest on the buds, making it easier to control the volume or change the music tracks. And yeah, the buttons offer a decent tactile feedback.
On a single charge, these earphones get you around five hours and the charging case cram a charge for two cycles more.
These truly wireless earphones are a tad bulky and tend to stick out from ears.
4. Jaybird Vista
Another cool new pair of earphones for the OnePlus 7 Pro is the Jaybird Vista. Made exclusively for the ones who love to be on the move, these buds are rated IPX7 and are both waterproof and sweatproof. The Vista pair is compact and are also light on your ears.
The Jaybird Vista packs 6mm drivers which in turn delivers rich and balanced sound quality and is accompanied by deep bass.
And when it comes to user reviews, they seem to love the sound quality. If we talk numbers, the sound quality alone has been rated around 4.5-stars out of 5 on Amazon.
Unlike its previous generation which was notorious for its bad Bluetooth connection, the Jaybird Vista earbuds deliver a consistent and strong audio connection with minimum drops.
Coming to the battery life, these buds promise a battery life of 6 hours with an additional 10 hours provided by the charging case. As per most reviewers, they live up to their claim.
Though they do not have active noise cancellation or sound transparency features, you may want to consider buying these buds solely for their compact form factor and great audio quality.
5. Apple AirPods Pro
Who said that the new AirPods Pro is meant only for iPhone users? Yep, you can use the new in-ear version of the Apple AirPods with your new OnePlus 7 Pro. The new buds still have the golf-tee design, though they are a tad shorter. And unlike its predecessor, they pack silicone ear tips, which provide a comfortable grip. So you can listen to your favorite music tracks in all their glory. The active noise cancellation is acherry on top.
These are the first Apple earphones to boast of active noise canceling (ANC) and the ANC kicks in once you put both the earbuds in your ears. As per the folks at Digital Trends, the ANC works brilliantly.
Aside from that, the sound quality is exceptional with a well-rounded bass and crisp and clear output. The details of songs are well preserved and you won’t miss a beat or a minor detail.
However, as an Android user, you must make a few sacrifices. For one, you won’t be able to tweak the default settings of your AirPods Pro. Also, you’ll miss out on features like Audio Sharing, Battery Level indication, and Fit Level.
Thankfully, that can easily be resolved via a few apps on the Play Store, which can help to remap the functionality to Google Assistant. The noise cancellation and audio transparency feature work as expected.
If these are sacrifices that you are not willing to make, head off to the next cool product.
6. Sony WF-1000XM3
What’s not to like about the Sony WF-1000XM3? Well, if you’re looking to have an immersive audio experience with active noise cancellation, these truly wireless earphones will suit your OnePlus 7 Pro. Apart from stylish looks, these buds come with fast charging tech and support for SBC and AAC Bluetooth audio codecs. A mere 10-minutes of charge will get you around 90 minutes of playback time. Now, isn’t that cool?
Moreover, these are Sony earphones, and you can expect great audio quality on these buds. These earphones deliver a clear sound signature with thumping bass. And the folks at The Guardian put it, “The WF-1000XM3 produce the sort of sparkling audio that allows you to hear new things in longtime favourite tracks.”
Aside from the above, the WF-1000XM3 bundles ANC (active noise cancellation) and a pair of noise-canceling mics to improve the performance. This pair filters out most of the ambient noise, meaning you can enjoy your music minus distraction. The folks at Digital Trends believe that the ANC in both the Apple AirPods Pro and the WF-1000XM3 are nearly indistinguishable.
Note that these wireless earphones do not support the high-quality codecs like aptX, aptX HD, or Sony’s proprietary LDAC.
Cheers to Better Sound
It isn’t every day that you buy a Snapdragon 855-powered phone. And when you do get one, make sure that you reap the maximum benefits that whether it’s the camera performance or the overall performance. However, before investing in one of the earphones mentioned above, make sure to list out the features you’re looking for and then match them against the ones you’ve shortlisted.
