There are various sites which require auto-refresh but don’t have it yet. It could be a site that serves news updates or a social site that shows status updates of your friends (Twitter recently got auto-refresh).

RefreshThis (read the update above) is a web based service which, as the name indicates, refreshes websites automatically. If you are watching minute to minute sports update or important breaking news then this site will come in handy.

To use this website, paste the URL of the site (example and define refresh interval in minutes and seconds.

And then press the start button. That’s it. It is really that simple.

Your page will open in a frame and start reloading automatically after the specified time interval. No need to install a browser add-on or press F5 button repeatedly.


Some browsers, like Opera, offer auto refresh feature by default, but it doesn’t include popular browsers like Internet explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. The users of these browsers can easily get this feature by using RefreshThis.
