The much anticipated Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL — a follow-up of last year’s Google Pixel — have been launched at a retail price of $649 and $849.

Both the devices will be available in the following six countries: India, Australia, Canada, Germany, UK, and USA. They will also be shortly made available in the following three countries: Italy, Singapore, and Spain.
Both of the new-generation Pixel devices have been enabled with a new feature called Active Edge, where you can squeeze the phone to trigger many activities, including activating the front camera.
Although Google Pixel devices have a 0.7-percent market share, Google is proudly presenting the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 Xl devices at $649 an $849, respectively.
Google Pixel 2 sports Google Lens, which can take pictures from your surroundings and recognizes phone numbers and addresses and asks follow-up questions about what you want to do with the information.
Google Lens has an accuracy rate of 95%. It also supports augmented reality (AR) and also features AR stickers.
Pixel 2 has a 12-megapixel camera with an exposure level of f1.8 and OIS. The Pixel 2 camera has got an unprecedented DXO score of 98! It also includes ‘Motion Photos’to capture moments before a shot.
The camera unit on the Google Pixel 2 sports a ‘dual-pixel sensor’, which supposedly divides every pixel into two — granting the same ‘bokeh’ effect as dual-lens camera devices like the iPhone or OnePlus 5. Pixel 2 users will get unlimited cloud storage for high-resolution photos and videos.
Coming to design, the rear panel of the both the second-generation Pixel devices have been redesigned. The new design doesn’t encase the Pixel’s fingerprint sensor among the glass based-back panel. But the camera bump on the new Pixel 2 is larger than before.
Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are will retail in India at a starting price of Rs 61,000 and Rs 73,000, respectively.
