OnePlus has started rolling out the latest software update and security patch for its flagship OnePlus 5 phone. The Oxygen OS 4.5.11 includes fixes for YouTube video issues, adaptive brightness, 4G+ network and more.
Just a month ago, OnePlus had released an OTA update that fixed a number of issues for its camera, touchscreen, and WiFi connection issues.
The update is currently being rolled out on an incremental basis and has already hit a few areas. The remaining ones can expect to receive the update over the next few days.
“For those who were on previous versions for OnePlus 5, we appreciate your active feedback and attempts to reach out to us. With your help, we have been able to better optimize and improve several key areas,” the company has stated in the latest changelog.
Everything New in Oxygen OS 4.5.11 Update
Fixed Syncing Issues in YouTube App
Over the last few months, some of the OnePlus5 users have been complaining of the audio and video desync on the YouTube app. With this update, the company has mentioned that the issue has been addressed and fixed.
New Features for Notification Ringtone Customization
The company has also introduced a new feature, which lets you customize notification ringtones. Previously, only a system sound could be added as a notification tone, however, it now lets you choose a non-system sound for the same.
The OxygenOS 4.5.11 update has seen less of camera updates or refinement. Notably, the OnePlus5 had launched with a special focus on camera tech and had received much slack since it lacked quite a few vital elements like Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) initially.
