Xiaomi’s India head Manu Kumar Jain has tweeted this news to everyone’s delight.

Tech geeks across the country are eagerly awaiting the launch as the Mi Mix 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chip, which gives it immense power to perform heavy tasks in a blink of an eye. The device also sports a lot of other powerful features.

Beauty with Brawn

Bezel-less is the new standard that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is likely to set and that too for good. The phone’s display covers nearly 80 percent of the entire space in the front.

The Mi MIX 2 flaunts a 6.44-inch full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) immersive display with 403ppi pixel density. Moreover, with a full metal unibody, the Mi Mix 2 is optimized for one-hand use.

There is a 12-megapixel rear camera with IMX386 sensor, 4-axis OIS, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF, and HDR. The front camera is 5-megapixel with features like 1080p video calling, selfie countdown and Beautify mode.

The phone is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It runs on a 2.45GHz Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core chip, which is paired with Adreno 540 GPU and a 6GB RAM.

The Mi Mix 2 comes packed with Android Nougat with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 custom skin layer. The device also sports Bluetooth 5.0, 4g VoLTE connectivity, and a fingerprint sensor at the back.

No Stock Android

Even though Xiaomi has shaken hands with Google’s Android One project, the Mi Mix 2 will not be getting any stock Android treatment. Android One will remain a separate series altogether while the Xiaomi device will continue to feature MiUi with its latest Iteration 9.0, expected on the new smartphone.
