GoPro Hero6 Black and Fusion Virtual Reality Camera Launched

Action camera maker GoPro has announced the launch of its latest Hero 6 Black camera for the global markets. But along with this GoPro has also stepped into the virtual reality or VR domain with the Fusion camera.

Building upon the Hero5 Black, the Hero6 comes in as a welcome surprise for adventure enthusiasts. The camera now offers a better video processor and software algorithms for near lifelike video recording. Talking about video recording, the Hero6 can record 4K videos at 60FPS and offers the best video stabilization feature offered by GoPro until today.

While the company has packed in a lot of new tech, the design of the Hero6 has not been altered and it is compatible with all the older accessories and GoPro devices as well.

Another welcome addition is touch zoom and as always the Hero6 also gets voice commands with support for 10 international languages.

The GoPro Hero6 Black is priced at $499.99 or Rs 33,000 and there is no official word on the release date of this device in India yet.

GoPro Fusion

The Fusion is GoPro’s first ever step towards offering a Virtual reality ready product. With Fusion the company aims at offering the ability to users to record 360-degree videos and completely spherical images as well.

While it is a 360-degree camera, it can do 5.2K resolution and 3K resolution videos in 30 and 60 frames respectively. Using the recorded videos users can create VR ready content with the help of the GoPro app.

The GoPro Fusion is priced at $699.99 or Rs 46,000 and there is no official word on the release date of this device in India yet.
