LG K7i With Mosquito Repellant Tech Launched at Rs 7,990 in India

LG K7i, which sports one-of-its-kind mosquito repellant, was launched at the Indian Mobile Congress in New Delhi on Wednesday. The device will retail at Rs 7,990, targeting the mass audience.

Amidst a sea of tech companies and their offerings at the Indian Mobile Congress, New Delhi, LG made its product stand out by addressing one of the most pressing issues in the country — mosquitoes.

The company claims that their ‘ultrasonic mosquito away technology’ doesn’t cause any harm to the users as there is no radiation. The tech works up to a range of 1 meter in diameter around the device.

A company spokesperson told GuidingTech that the device fitted in the back panel of the LG K7i produces audio frequencies inaudible to the human ears, which is supposed to act as a hindrance to the mosquitoes.

The device comes with two back covers — one fitted with the mosquito repellant device and one without it.
