Apple has started rolling out the iOS 11 update for compatible iPhones and iPads. They have also updated the Apple Music app for Android with the same new features coming with iOS 11 plus a little extra exclusively for Android.
Apple Music app across Android, iOS, and desktops will get social profiles that would make it easier to discover music, especially the ones that your friends are listening to.
Subscribers can now create profiles that friends will be able to follow. When you follow a profile, you’ll be able to listen to the playlists shared by your friend and also take a peek at their frequently played tracks.
In addition to these features that will be available on Apple Music across different platforms, Apple Music has also been updated with the support for ‘Ok Google’ voice commands on Android.
This optimizes the app even more for Android as users will now be able to open the app, play a song on it or the Beats 1 radio via voice commands.
iOS 11 Flooding In
While Android users will be able to avail all these features in the new Apple Music app update, iOS users will get the features alongside the iOS 11 update for their device.
Soon after unveiling the features of its upcoming iOS 11 for iPhones and iPads at the WWDC 2017, Apple had released the public beta program for its operating system earlier this year. The company has announced that the latest OS will start rolling out to compatible devices on starting on Tuesday.
Apple has made a multitude of changes to the way things work on its devices, calling this update ‘a giant step for iPhone. A monumental leap for iPad’.
“iOS 11 brings augmented reality to hundreds of millions of iOS devices and new professional capabilities improve images in Photos and Camera. Siri is more natural and useful and a redesigned App Store makes it easier to discover apps and games,” Apple had stated earlier.
