People familiar with the development of the product have confirmed to Guiding Tech that ‘The new Moto X4 might be launched in the last week of September’.

The release date has been confirmed by Motorola India’s latest tweet.

No Clarity on Alexa Though

While the device is featuring Amazon’s Alexa assistant, it’s unclear whether the same will be made available in India or not. Most likely, since Alexa’s services are not officially available, Motorola might reserve it for later.

Flagship Features

The new moto X4 falls strictly under the mid-range price category. It features some powerful hardware under its hood. Motorola has also offered some brilliant build quality on this new smartphone, which now comes with IP68 water and dust resistance capabilities.

Durability is offered with a chassis made up of metal and the display being protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. The back features a contoured profile, which adds to the handling of the device.

Fitting with its price point, the Moto X4 utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chip with a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage. There is another variant available, featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which might be announced later.

A Snappy Snapper

One of the highlights of the new Moto X4 is the dual rear camera setup. It is fast becoming a standard even for the mid-range devices. On the Moto X4, Motorola has made use of a 12-megapixel telephoto unit in conjunction with an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera. With this, the new device gets some brilliant photographic capabilities along with a stunning depth of field.

The cameras offer f/2.0 and f/2.2 aperture settings for the 12 and the 8-megapixel camera, respectively, for better low-light photography.
