Spice Up Your Tweets and Twitter Messages With Twitter Symbols
Twitter can be one difficult friend to deal with. For example, you’ve only got 140 characters to say you’re flying, and you want to post an observation you made on the plane. Instead of wasting some of your precious characters describing the context of the location, you can simply post one. How? Using some neat Twitter symbols!
Although some of these symbols are hard to fit into more common contexts, you can bet one thing — they’ll spice up your Tweets and you’ll be able to fit more of your thoughts into the character limit.
How can you get these characters in your Tweets? It’s quite simple, actually.
Visit the Twitter Symbols website, it’ll look something like the screenshot above. Notice how there are a ton of categories, including Arrows, Chess, and Patterns.
All you have to do is type your message, or click on the symbols that you want in your Tweet. Then, simply click Send. On your first time, Twitter Symbols will try to connect with your Twitter account.
If you’re uncomfortable with connecting these two accounts, you can also simply click in the field and click CTRL + A or right-click the field and click select all.
Then click, CTRL + C or go to Edit and select Copy.
Then, you guessed it! Paste it right into your Twitter and then press Tweet as you normally would.
