Leno­vo Launch­es K8 Plus in India Start­ing at Rs 10,999

Lenovo has announced the global launch of the K8 Plus smartphones in India. The device is priced at Rs 10,999 and it will go on sale as a Flipkart exclusive with sales starting from 7 September. The company had launched the K8 Note sometime back and how it stacks up against the new device, let’s find out.


Compared to the K8 Note, the new Lenovo K8 Plus features a 5.2-inch full HD display protected with Corning Gorilla glass. While the display is marginally smaller than the K8 Note, there is no reduction in the battery capacity which is still at 4000mAh.

Lenovo K8 Plus has a number of tricks rolled up its sleeve including an 8-megapixel front camera, dedicated memory card slot with support for dual-sims and theater max for better visual experience.

The Lenovo K8 Plus runs on stock Android Nougat 7.1.1 with a promise of Android 8.0 Oreo update coming in the following weeks.

Lenovo K8 Plus Specs and Features

  • Display: The Lenovo K8 Plus features a 5.2-inch Full HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
  • Processor: The device is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 processor running at 2.5GHz.
  • Camera: The K8 Plus sports a dual-lens with 13-Megapixel + 5-Megapixel sensors and an 8-Megapixel selfie camera.
  • Memory and Storage: This device comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
  • Battery: The Lenovo K8 Plus is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery unit which is charged using a Micro USB port.

The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

Along with the launch of the K8 Plus, Lenovo has also announced that the smallest member of this family the K8 will also be making its way to the global users soon.

Going by the price of the Lenovo K8 Plus, the K8 can be expected to be priced in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment.
