Finally, all the speculations are over and Xiaomi has announced the launch of its latest Android smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi A1 for the global market. This is the first ever Android One device from Xiaomi and features some amazing hardware and software features for the price
Speaking of the specifications, the brand new smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) display with Corning’s Gorilla glass protection. Wrapping it up with a premium metal unibody with anti-fingerprint coating.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC which is also present inside Redmi Note 4 and Mi Max 2.
On the software front, the Mi A1 is the first Xiaomi smartphone to not feature the MIUI 9. Instead, the company is offering stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat experience with it. Memory-wise, the Mi A1 has got 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of onboard storage.
With its partnership with Google and the Android One program, the Xiaomi Mi A1 will get unlimited photo and video upload, similar to the Google Pixel range of devices.
One of the most exciting features of Xiaomi Mi A1 is its camera. The device gets a dual 12 MP + 12 MP shooter at the back. One of the lenses is a telephoto unit, while the other is a wide-angle lens.
With this setup, the company aims to beat the competition which includes Apple iPhone 7 Plus and the OnePlus 5 with better quality and color reproduction.
Talking of connectivity, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features all the essentials like 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Type-C USB port, etc.

The Mi A1 will retail for Rs 14,990 from 12 September 2017, as a Flipkart exclusive. As of now, the handset is going to be available exclusively in India and Xiaomi hasn’t yet spoken about its global release date.
