Samsung has finally announced the launch of its much awaited Galaxy J7+ Android smartphone. The device has been priced close to Rs 25,000 as its international pricing and features dual-camera setup, support for Samsung Bixby and dual WhatsApp accounts as well.

The long-awaited Samsung J7+ is finally here as is definitely worth the wait. The successor of the Galaxy J7 and J7 Pro comes with a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset, which explains the lower price tag. While other specifications look good for the new device.

The Galaxy J7+ is built around a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display featuring full-HD resolution. The 2.4 GHz, octa-core MediaTek processor is supported with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, expandable to an additional 256GB via micro SD card.

The Dualitities

Similar to the Galaxy J7 Max and J7 Pro, the Galaxy J7+ also comes with support for dual WhatsApp or Facebook accounts. What’s different is the dual camera setup that Samsung has offered at this price point.

The rear-camera module features a 13-megapixel, F/1.7 aperture primary camera along with a 5-megapixel. F/1.9 aperture camera for depth related effects. After the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the Galaxy J7+ is the only other device to feature a dual-camera setup

On the front, there is a 16-megapixel for selfie lovers with a F/1.9 aperture and a LED-flash that would help in getting pictures in low light.

Feature Rich

Running Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box, the Galaxy J7+ features Samsung’a Bixby assistant minus the dedicated key. The J7+ also gets the live-focus mode, found on the Galaxy Note8 allowing for depth adjustment after capturing the image.

Similar to its predecessors, the J7+ also comes with support for dual-sims and offers support for newer VoLTE based networks.

Other features include an always-on display and a biometric fingerprint sensor that sits on top of the home button.

Samsung Galaxy J7+ in India

The Galaxy J7+ is expected to launch in India soon but the official date is not yet announced by the brand. While internationally the device has been launched at Rs 25,000 approx, Indian pricing is expected to be similar.
