Samsung Galaxy S8+ Gets a Major Price Drop in India

Samsung’s bigger flagship, Galaxy Note8 was launched on Wednesday, and today the company has slashed the prices of its Galaxy S8+ (6GB) devices which were launched earlier this year.

In June 2017, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ was made available for retail in India at a price of Rs 74,990. The device’s price was cut by Rs 4,000 last month, bringing it down to Rs 70,990.

And now according to a tweet by Mahesh Telecom, the prices for the Galaxy S8+ have plummetted even further as the device is now available at Rs 65,990 — a Rs 5,000 price slash.

The latest price slash brings down the price of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ by a total of Rs 9,000 within two months of its release into the Indian market.

Samsung is possibly doing this to justify the price of the newly launched Galaxy Note 8 and to ensure that the early releases to do not overshadow the sales of the newly launched device.
