COMIO Launches 3 Smartphones in India: Price and Key Features

Chinese smartphone-maker Topwise Communications is launching three smartphone devices in India under the moniker of COMIO — P1, S1 and C1. Earlier, the company was well-known to be the supplier for Micromax’s devices in India.

COMIO has struck an exclusive data tie-up with Reliance Jio and will retail its P1, S1 and C1 devices for Rs 9,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 5,999.

The data tie-up with Reliance Jio offers buyers 5GB additional data on their handset when recharging with Rs 309 pack.

The COMIO devices will be available in retail stores across North India starting next week and will be available in the western parts of India by the third week of September.

“Over the course of the first year, we will build a strong foundation for the brand based on the three strategic pillars — innovation, partnership, and great people. We are in India for the long run and will contribute to the nation’s ‘Make in India’ initiative,” Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, CEO, and Director, COMIO India, said in a statement.

All the three devices run on a Quad-core 64 bit MediaTek processor, are 4G VoLTE enabled and come with 32GB of internal storage.

The COMIO P1, which retails at Rs 9,999, sports a massive 5,000mAh battery and comes in a metal body with dual-SIM support. The device features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera with screen flash and a fingerprint reader.

The COMIO S1, which retails at Rs 8,999, sports a unibody metal design with curved edges. It features a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint reader and is backed by a 2,700mAh battery.

The COMIO C1, which retails at Rs 5,999, sports a metal frame, 5-inch HD IPS display and comes with 8MP rear and 5MP front snapper.

The COMIO devices come loaded with native Freezer and Clone applications. The Freezer app allows the use of as many applications as desired without worrying about space constraints.

The Clone app backs up all the data of the device and also facilitates transfer of data from one handset to the other.
