Starting with the design language, Moto Z2 Force is not much different than its predecessor, Moto Z Force. With a thickness of just 6.1 mm, Motorola’s latest phone is quite sleek indeed. The Moto Z2 Force supports all the existing Moto Mods including the latest 360 degrees Camera Mod.
Moving on to the specs, the latest smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display. Moreover, Moto Z2 Force’s screen sports the customary ShatterShield coating which makes it quite resistant to accidental shattering.
Inside Motorola’s newest smartphone, there sits the powerful Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. However, outside the United States, the Moto Z2 Force will also be available with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB memory. Every variant of the phone will have a micro SD card slot though.
The Moto Z2 Force runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
Speaking of the camera department, there are two 12 MP Sony IMX 386 sensors. Out of them, one can take normal color images, while the other can only shoot black and white photos. Huawei also uses a similar setup in its flagship phones like the Honor 8 Pro or P10. The Moto Z2 Force packs a laser autofocusing mechanism too.
Unfortunately, Motorola has opted for a 5 MP Selfie camera.
Connectivity-wise, the Moto Z2 Force features Gigabit 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2 (upgradable to 5.0 with Android O), USB Type-C port, etc. Sadly there is no 3.5 mm audio jack in the device. Motorola is bundling a free Type-C to 3.5 mm converter though. A 2730mAh battery juices up the phone.
