Micromax held subsidiary Yu Mobiles has launched the new Yunique 2 Android-powered smartphone for Rs 5,999 in India. The device will be available exclusively via Flipkart and will go on sale from July 27, 2017.

The device has been launched in the sub-Rs 10,000 market, and with the given price tag, the company seems to be targeting the new adapters of smartphones, especially in tier-2, tier-3 cities and rural areas.

Although it’s being launched as a Flipkart exclusive, there is no doubt that it will be made available in the offline markets soon.

“With Yunique 2, we are bringing a smartphone that hits the sweet spot of power, performance and style confluence together in one device. It is a smartphone that will be a compelling choice for those new age users who are always multi-tasking,” said Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Micromax and YU.

One of the USPs of the device is the integration of the Truecaller dialler as its default dialler, enabling on the go caller ID, spam detection and more.
