Rock and Siri Dominate the Day in this new Dope Apple Ad

Voice assistants have transformed immensely from the artificial intelligence which only worked within a confined set of commands to the modern day ones which make use of machine learning in order to personalise experience based on user’s tastes and preferences, and keeps getting better with time.

Although voice-based assistants have developed even further than we ever imagined they would, companies are still having a hard time marketing their products to users who are still not sure if they need them.

Well, Apple seems to have found a fix to user’s queries as to why they’d need a personal assistant to make some basic enquiries as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stars in an advertisement alongside Siri and explores the multiple ways that the personal voice assistant can be of use.

“I partnered with #Apple to make the biggest, coolest, craziest, dopest, most over the top, funnest (is that even a word?) movie ever,” The Rock wrote in a Facebook post.

The whole idea of the advertisement is to leave an impression on the viewer that Siri is not your run-of-the-mill voice assistant but can do much more than just give you weather or score updates — help people in their daily routines.

The three-minute long ad features shot in a movie-like manner shows The Rock doing a number of things with the assistance of Siri on his iPhone.

Apple is hoping that with his monumental following, The Rock might be able to help them increase the value of its underappreciated voice assistant Siri in the minds of the users.

Similar other products like Amazon Echo, Google Assistant, Cortana and others are still trying to make an effective place in the life of its users and many are of the view that this voice assistant technology might just turn out to be a fad, but looks like Apple is hoping otherwise.
