Nokia 8 just got accidentally listed on the official website of Nokia and was pulled off quickly. However, a Baidu user did manage to take a screenshot, which, quite unexpectedly hints that the smartphone might launch today. The Nokia 8 seen in the brief listing displays today’s date, ‘Thursday, July 20’ on its home screen, which is indeed a surprise!
This is not the first time that we are having a look at Nokia’s upcoming flagship. Popular tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks leaked the Nokia 8 three days ago. However, in those images, the date was mentioned as ‘Thursday, June 20’, which is actually wrong as 20th June was not a Thursday, neither in 2017 nor in 2016. It might be a translational error which turned July into June.
These days, it is a common practice among smartphone-makers to put release dates on the home screen of their devices. So, it won’t be totally strange if HMD Global chooses to announce the next Nokia device today itself.
Speaking of the Nokia 8, it is expected to be a high-end flagship smartphone from the reincarnated Finnish brand. The handset will pack the mighty Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of onboard storage. It shall run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
A 5.3-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display might sit on top of the Nokia 8. However, the most exciting part of the upcoming handset would be it’s Carl Zeiss-made dual camera setup. This combined with laser assisted autofocusing would make the Nokia 8 a pretty good camera-phone.

Nokia 8 Release Date and Pricing
As mentioned above, there is a chance of the Nokia 8 getting announced today itself. Still, even if it turns out to be false, HMD Global would not delay the launch much longer. Regarding pricing, the phone may cost around $635 (Rs. 40,899 approx.).
