LG has officially sent out the save-the-dates for a media event scheduled for August 31 in Berlin. Looking at the invite, which imitates a tall smartphone with 18:9 display, it is quite evident that LG V30 will be the star of the show. As per the convention, the launch will take place just a day before IFA kicks off.
Speaking of the LG V30, it is going to the first device from the South Korean manufacturer to feature the Snapdragon 835 SoC. Apart from this, the successor of the LG V20 might come with a dual-curved 5.7-inch bezel-less Quad HD display. However, the newer phone might ditch the secondary screen of its predecessor.
While G-series is LG’s flagship line-up, the V-series can be deemed as the second best. This time, the V30 might even beat the LG G6 in terms of specifications.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to have a metal-glass construction with onboard wireless charging support. LG V30 will probably come with a G6-like dual camera setup along with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Memory-wise, the phone might sport up to 6 GB of RAM along with 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. Android 7.1.1 Nougat should be available out of the box.
The LG V30 will support all the major connectivity options like 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, etc. A 3200mAh battery is presumed to juice up the handset.
