Samsung Galaxy S8 is one of the best-designed smartphones of this year. The South Korean manufacturer has nailed it with the magnificent Infinity Display paired with top notch internals. However, all of this comes with a price premium. The Galaxy S8 costs upwards $700 in the US or Rs. 57,900 in India.

Now, a Chinese company named LEAGOO has just made a perfect clone of Samsung’s flagship handset. Named as the KIICAA S8, it costs less than $300 (Rs. 19,420 approx.), but offers up to 6 GB of RAM along with a MediaTek Helio P23 SoC. The clone device replicates the Infinity Display of the Galaxy S8 quite well too.
Still, the IPS LCD panel of the KIICAA S8 is nowhere near the stunning Super AMOLED screen of the original S8. The 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display does its job though. Moving on the back of the S8 replica, it is an irony! The clone handset not only sports a dual camera setup but also has the fingerprint scanner at the right place. These are two of the gravest Cons of Samsung Galaxy S8.
Moving on to the internals, it’s pretty obvious that there is no Snapdragon 835 inside the KIICAA S8. Instead, the clone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 SoC. The 16 nm chipset has eight Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.0 GHz along with a dual-core Mali G71 GPU. You can expect a performance level similar to the Snapdragon 625.
This is mated with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
The S8 clone comes with dual camera setup both at the back and the front. It supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other usual connectivity options. A 3500mAh battery juices up the phone.
