Honor 8 Pro India Launch Today: What to Expect and How to Live Stream

Huawei’s Honor brand is all set to launch the Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India today in partnership with Amazon.in.

Expected to be priced at Rs 29,999, the Honor 8 Pro is tipped to come to India with 6GB RAM, 128 GB storage and two colour variants — Navy Blue and Midnight Black.

According to reports, the phone should be available to buy on Amazon from Monday (July 10) around 6 PM in the evening.

Honor 8 Pro Specifications

In Europe, the Honor 8 Pro was launched at EUR 549 (roughly Rs 39,500).

The phone comes with dual cameras at the back, a 4,000mAh battery, and 6GB of RAM.

The rear cameras on the Honor 8 Pro is comprised of 12-megapixel rear camera sensors with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording ability.

The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies. The dual-SIM Honor 8 Pro runs Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1, and sports a 5.7-inch QHD display. It is powered by Kirin 960.

It comes with 128GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded further by using the hybrid microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The Honor 8 Pro includes 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC.

Honor 8 Lite

Earlier, the company had launched the Honor 8 Lite at a price of Rs 17,999 in India

The phone was first launched in Finland in February; although that variant had 3GB of RAM, in India it comes with 4GB of RAM instead. The highlight of Honor 8 Lite is its glass and metal design. It is priced at Rs 17,999 and comes in two colours—Black and Blue.

The Huawei Honor 8 Lite is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Kirin 655 processor. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
