Users who are currently running the Open Beta build on their OnePlus devices will receive this update over-the-air soon. The new features in the Beta build will be made available as part of the official stable update to all other users as soon as it’s tested and the bugs found are fixed.
While it seems unlikely that the OnePlus 3 and 3T devices will receive the upcoming Android O update, the company is trying to keep the customers happy by adding new features to the Android Nougat-based OxygenOS.
Anyone who wants to try out the new Beta build first hand and still haven’t flashed their device can download the full ROM and find the instruction to install it here.
Once you flash the Open Beta on your device, you will no longer be eligible to receive the official Stable OTAs. Going back to the official OTA path will require a full format of the device and cache and reinstall of the stable ROM.
