Corroborating with many revelations that the OnePlus 5 is being themed after the latest iPhone 7, the leaked images do show a device which by the looks of it shows a strong resemblance to Apple’s device.
The OnePlus 5 is launching in a few hours worldwide, while its India launch is scheduled for July 22 in Mumbai.
The device has been confirmed to be powered by 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which clocks at 2.45GHz and is the thinnest and top of the line mobile processor in the market.
The OnePlus 5 has also been tipped to come in two variants of 6GB and 8GB RAM alongwith 64GB and 128GB of internal memory, respectively.
The device will also feature a 5.5-inch display, dual-lens rear camera setup and the fingerprint sensor is embedded in the front panel home button.
Confirmed Performance Upgrades to OnePlus 5
While the company has put great emphasis on the overall performance and design of the device, the main area that they wanted to improve was the touch latency.
There also has been several modifications to the Oxygen OS which now has been optimised with a better way to manage your apps.
When the OnePlus 5 is turned on, only the apps that are used the most start running in the background in order to reduce the lag while accessing these apps.
The apps which are least used by a user will be deprioritised and won’t run on start up to avoid hampering the device’s performance.
