Play FIFA 17 for Free with Xbox This Weekend


A week after announcing the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has announced that EA Sports FIFA 17 will be available to play for free to its Xbox Live Gold members as part of the Free Play Days program for Xbox One console users.

The free-to-play programme for FIFA 17 on Xbox runs till Monday, June 5 (11:59 PM PDT) and the full version of the game will be available to play to all Live Gold members.

During this time, users can immerse themselves into the new cinematic story mode ‘The Journey’, which gives fans an opportunity to live and breathe as a player in the virtual world — both on and off the pitch.

FIFA 17 also received new squad building challenges for its FIFA Ultimate Team and also a new way to compete in the game mode with FUT Champions.

“Experience FIFA’s most popular game mode with the Team of the Season event currently in-game, celebrating the world’s best football players,” the company stated.

The FIFA 17 game, which is powered by the Frostbite engine, also brought to fore many new features including true-to-life on-pitch action inspired from real life physics and more immersive crowds in the stadium.

“FIFA 17 features innovation in the way players think and move, physically interact with opponents, and execute an attack, putting you in complete control of every moment on the pitch,” the company added.

During this free-to-play days, the standard and deluxe editions FIFA 17 title have been put on 50% sale and the FIFA 17 Super Deluxe edition can be bought for an off of 30%.

All the progress you make during the duration of free play and all the achievements you gather will be carried on if you buy the game, enabling you to pick up from where you left.

Pricing will differ depending on your region, but Xbox One users worldwide with a Gold Live subscription can download and start playing the game now until June 5.

Meanwhile, Konami has also announced their next PES 2018 title which will be going head on against FIFA 18 this Septemeber.
