Xbox is Launching Game Pass With 100+ Games on June 1

Xbox has announced the launch of its Game Pass — which was introduced earlier this year — on June 1 and will come with north of 100 gaming titles and Xbox Gold members get early access to the service as they can start their free trial now.

Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft’s gaming console Xbox has been adding up new features to its existing services as well as introducing new ones as the online gaming industry alongwith e-sports is witnessing an evident boom.

The Xbox Game Pass is a digital subscription for Xbox One console users that allows access to over 100 gaming titles — with backward compatibility Xbox 360 titles for Xbox One.

The monthly subscription of the  Game Pass costs $9.99 and comes with a 14-day free trial.

“Beginning today, all Xbox Live Gold members will get exclusive Early Access to Xbox Game Pass and can start their 14-day free trial before anyone else. This is our way of saying thank you to our valued Gold members,” Parimal Deshpande, Director of Xbox Product Marketing stated.

Other users with an active Xbox Live account can start their free 14-day trial on June 1 and test over 100 popular gaming titles, following which they can choose whether or not to subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass.

Gaming titles on the Xbox Game Pass include Halo5: Guardians, NBA 2K16, Payday 2, LEGO Batman, Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Pinata, Mega Man Legacy Collection, Streets of Rage, Pac-Man Championship Edition.

The monthly subscription will also get you several shooting games like BioShock franchise, Gears of War 1-3, Gears Ultimate, Perfect Dark Zero, Borderlands and more.

“Each month, Xbox Game Pass will add a new set of games to the catalog so there is always something new to play across a diversity of experiences, genres, rating and more,” Deshpande added.

The subscription allows the users to download these games directly onto their consoles to avoid lags due to streaming or connectivity issues — and no, there is no limit to how many games you can download at once. Downloaded games can be played offline for up to 30 days.

At the time of launch, members will also be able to access classic Xbox hits like Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, The Golf Club, Terraria, Resident Evil 0, XCOM: Enemy Within, Mad Max, Knight Squad and more.

The Xbox Game Pass will be available in the following 31 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canda, Chile, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK and USA.
