YouSearch is a nifty add-on for Google Chrome that helps you search and watch YouTube videos without requiring you to open a new tab or browser window.
The add-on isn’t complicated. Once installed, it shows up as a small icon in the Chrome extensions bar. If you click on it, it pops up a small Google search box that helps you search YouTube.

If you look carefully at the above screenshot, you’ll see that there is a link to upload your video. That means, you can upload a video to YouTube directly by following that link.
The search results page, that comes up when you search for a video using some keywords, isn’t the traditional page with video titles and descriptions. Instead, it is a page showing only the top video previews for that query, and is neatly organized in the small space.

So when I did a search for Chariots of fire (remember? the movie with the famous soundtrack from Vangelis), I could see related videos and I had to click on the one I’d want to play.
The video starts playing in a larger screen, and also has other video thumbnails arranged below it in case you want to switch to a different video.

That’s all the extension does. Simple and easy to use.
So why would you need it ? If you spend more and more time on YouTube everyday and are usually lost there watching one video after another, then this add-on could help you get back to work easily, since it doesn’t require you to go to the main site where the content is more tempting.
