Jio Prime members have good news ahead of them as Reliance has decided to give out three free months of service to those who’ve enrolled under the Rs.303 tariff plan or higher.

Under the Jio Summer Surprise, the company will provide 3 months of complimentary service to customers and the tariff plan they’ll subscribe to right now will only be activated post July when the free offer ends.

“Considering the unprecedented demand for enrolling to Jio Prime, Jio has extended the deadline for purchasing Jio’s Rs.303 (and above) plans till April 15. This extension will provide the necessary breathing room for users to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid services,” the company stated.

Those who missed out on the March 31 deadline set by the company can now avail the Prime membership for the same amount of Rs.99 and any recharge worth Rs.303 and above before April 15.

“The Jio Summer Surprise is the first of many surprises for Jio Prime members,” the company added.

Reliance is also offering customers easy mobile number portability, which will allow users of different telecom providers to switch to Jio services while retaining their existing phone number.

Those who have taken up the Prime membership worth Rs.99 but yet haven’t recharged their number can also avail the free three months of service by recharging before April 15.

With the deadline extension and the new Jio Summer surprise, the company will be hoping to add additional subscribers to their service and disrupting the telecom industry even further.

Jio Prime plans have forced other telecom providers to exceptionally lower down their data as well as call rates and in most cases, their competitors have come up with bundled data and call plans to directly compete with the Jio Prime tariff plans.
