Moto G5 Plus Launched: 6 Things to Know

Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its latest unveiling at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, — the Moto G5 Plus — in the Indian market starting at Rs. 14,999.

The device will be exclusively sold through Flipkart with the company offering a buyback scheme. It has been launched in two variants with the costlier one priced at Rs. 16,999.

The device will go on sale at midnight tonight — 00:00 hours, March 16, 2017.

The Moto G5 Plus is being launched in two colours — Lunar Grey and Fine Gold — and the physical home button in the front also houses the fingerprint sensor for the device. It will run on Android Nougat.

Display and Design

The new Moto G5 Plus boasts of a high-grade aluminium frame — an upgrade on the plastic framework –, giving the device a better finish and durability. The device is also coated with water repellent material to protect it from light splashes and rain.

The device features a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Snappy SoC

The Moto G5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC which clocks at 2GHz and is supported by Adreno 506 GPU.

Memory and Storage

The device has been launched in two variants with different price tags. The cheaper one gets 3GB RAM alongwith 16GB internal storage while the costlier one gets 4GB RAM alongwith 32GB internal storage.

Both the variants have a microSD slot which supports cards up to 128GB.

Enhanced Camera Features

The rear-camera of the Moto G5 Plus is a 12MP unit with dual autofocus pixels that help the camera to focus 60% faster than before and dual LED flash.

The front-camera is a 5MP unit which sports a wide-angle lens, making it easier to click group selfies.

Battery with Turbo Charging

The Moto G5 Plus is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Turbo Charging-enabled which helps the device to charge enough for 6 hours of usage within 15 minutes of charge.
