EA Sports will announce their Ultimate Team of the Year (TOTY) on Monday, which will then be made available to the Ultimate mode gamers on Xbox, PC and Playstation for a limited time, to add to their team and boost up the ratings.
The FIFA Ultimate mode gets a Team of the Week update every week which features 23 in-form player cards, who’ve been playing well in the previous week.
The Team of the year will only include 11 players that have been voted for by the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro).
In addition to the Ultimate XI of the year, EA Sports will also be giving out some in-game bonuses in the Ultimate Mode.
“The top footballers of 2016 will be revealed at an awards ceremony in Zurich. To celebrate this prestigious honour, FIFA Ultimate Team will have special Team of the Year in-form items for the 11 winners, featuring some of the highest ratings of the year,” EA Sports wrote in a blog post.
These 11 players will receive new card design as well as boosted stats by EA depending on how well they have performed in the past year.
EA Sports hasn’t made it clear as to how long these cards will be made available to the users, but it’s quite obvious that these will only be made available for a limited time.
