OurMine, an elite hacking group that is known for hacks that expose the vulnerabilities in major systems, including the October 2016 hack of Buzzfeed News and June 2016 hack of Sundar Pichai’s Quora account, among others, has now hacked Netflix’s Twitter account.
The group claims to be white hat hackers with no intentions to disrupt the harmony of the internet but highlighting the security and privacy of major organisations, or people is their thing.
The hacking group has been in the news for quite some time now and are also providing email security service for $10 these days.
“As professional hackers and vulnerability accessors, we will help you secure your network, show you all available vulnerabilities and fix them all,” OurMine’s website reads.
This isn’t the first time OurMine has hacked into a twitter account.
OurMine hackers have been known to hack networks and social media accounts. Their most famous escapades include hacking Mark Zuckerberg’s social media account, as well as Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account.
Twitter accounts of Randi Zuckerberg (Mark’s sister), Daniel Ek (Spotify founder), Werner Vogels (Amazon’s CTO), and Hollywood actor Channing Tatum were also hacked by the prolific hacking group.
The hackers got into Sundar Pichai’s twitter account too because they found an interlink between his Quora and Twitter account which allowed Quora question and answers to go on Twitter seamlessly.
Other than these famous personalities, OurMine also hacked entertainment news site Variety in September this year and Buzzfeed the very next month.
“Not only will we give you access to all your accounts again, but we will also give you future security tips and assists you with securing your account to its maximum potential,” OurMine mentions on its website.
This hack seems to be another vulnerability issue that the hacking group has unearthed and have also very politely asked Netflix to contact them too while taking the time out to give the world a shout out about their service using Netflix’s 2.48 million followers.
