Amazon Prime subscribers won’t have to pay anything extra to avail the video streaming service by Amazon, and this is an added benefit as the subscription also guarantees free and quick delivery on selected items and earlier access to lightning deals.

In addition to Amazon Originals, subscribers can stream unlimited movies, TV shows from India and abroad ad-free.

The service has been listed on Google Play app store as well as Apple App Store and users can use their existing credentials to log in to the service.

Amazon Prime was launched earlier this year in July, minus the Prime Video subscription, and since has cost Rs.499 ($7.4) annually on a discounted pricing — actual price being Rs.999 ($ 14.8).

The company hasn’t made it clear that till when will the introductory rates will be applicable, but it is available right now and as the demand for the Amazon Prime Video service increases, the company might pull the plug on the discounted offer price.

This pricing is in stark contrast to that of Amazon Prime service in other countries like the US where it’s available for $99 and the UK where it’s available for £79.

Watch Bollywood, Hollywood and Amazon Originals with Prime

Amazon Prime houses have a huge catalogue of videos including titles from native Bollywood to popular shows and movies from around the world and their own award winning originals too. In addition to all of this, you also get a number of titles for kids at home.

The company has already tied up with indigenous production houses like Dharma Productions, T-series, Vishesh Films and others to provide streaming service of their movies on Prime Videos.

You can also view Amazon Original’s like Mozart in the Jungle, The Man in the High Castle, Into the Badlands and Tumble Leaf, among a number of others.

The company are also tying up with various local artists and producers to come up with exclusive Amazon Originals for the Indian audience.

For kids, titles such as Amazon Original Tumble Leaf, Chota Bheem, Shin Chan, Doraemon and many others are available.

You can also download and watch Prime videos offline, a feature which was also recently included in Netflix.

You can view classics such as The Godfather or relatively new releases such as Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation on the service too. Bollywood titles such as Dil Dhadkne Do, Kabali, Sultan, Baahubali, Rock On!, Taalash, Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani and many others have also been made available on the Amazon Prime Video service.

Not only movies, but you can also enjoy TV shows such as Seinfeld, Two and a Half Men, Dexter, Californication and many others on the video streaming service.

Amazon Prime Video service is surely a tough competition to Netflix as the video streaming service is packaged with the company’s express delivery service and priority service during lightning deals — that too at a rupee lower than Netflix’s basic package.

Amazon’s packaged deal is sure to give Netflix a run for their money — or can also prove to be a boon for users who might see a major deal in Netflix’s pricing model to sustain their growth in the Indian market.
